Location: East of Kendrick, Idaho
Estimated Size: 150 acres
Current situation:
Evacuations are still in effect for the Texas Fire near Kendrick. The number of structures threatened is now between 50 to 60. Evacuations are being handled by the Latah County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of Latah County Emergency Management. Idaho Department of Lands firefighters continue to aggressively attack the wildfire in the Potlach River Canyon near the junction of Texas Ridge Road and Cedar Ridge Road.
Larger Air Tankers from Missoula are currently dropping retardant on the fire to prevent spread. A Complex Incident Management Team has been ordered to manage the fire.
