4:00 p.m. PT July 6, 2024
The Billy Creek Fire is currently at 3,155 acres. Fire crews are using direct and indirect fire suppression tactics which means keeping the fire perimeter as small as possible. Structure protection is in place through air support along the Snake River. Idaho Department of Lands has ordered a complex incident management team (CIMT). This team from The Northern Rockies will transition on Sunday to help manage this incident. No aviation resources were required on the fire today.
