FIRE INFORMATION NEWS RELEASE

7:00 p.m. PT July 4, 2024

The Billy Creek Fire has rapidly grown to over 3,000 acres with structures around a mile away. Structure protection is in place through air support along the Snake River. Idaho Department of Lands has ordered a Complex Team. The order has been filled by Team 1 out of The Northern Rockies.

Dispatch: Grangeville

Size: over 3,000 acres

Location: Off of the Snake River near Idaho/Washington border - see map attachment

Initial attack response: IDL fire crews, other agencies assisting, aircraft dropping retardant

Structures: There are structures in the area, fire crews are working hard to protect them

Evacuations: None

Landscape: Fire is burning in brush and grass
