Your office recently received a letter from the IDL Executive Team regarding the importance of discussing mental health. Included were wallet cards with resources. Mental health conditions can affect anyone, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, or income level. It is treatable and there are resources available if you or someone you know is struggling. The more we talk about it, the more normalized these conversations become, ultimately empowering people to seek the help they need.
One in four Idahoans experience some form of mental illness, and 13% of Idaho children 12-17 years old have had a major depressive episode in the last year. There are resources available. Below are crisis numbers and websites.
