Christmas Celebration
On Thursday, Boise staff employees joined Dustin Miller for a little Christmas cheer. As has become tradition, everyone gathers in the lobby for our tree lighting, with new employees encouraged to bring an ornament that is expressive of them. Christmas carols are sung and then everyone shares a buffet of finger-foods.
Those less fortunate are not forgotten. Each year the fiscal bureau leads the Cold Hands & Warm Hearts campaign, collecting donations of new winter hats, gloves/mittens, socks and scarves. A gift wrapped donation box is under the Christmas tree ready to accept these gifts for our fellow neighbors in the Treasure Valley.
A special thanks to Julia Lauch, Jay Hein, and Rick Finis for delivering a fresh cut tree for all to enjoy.
Robbie Johnson Assists Moscow Police
After twenty straight days of long, difficult hours, Idaho State Police providing public information assistance for the King Road Homicide investigation needed spelled. That's when the Governor's office called IDL and asked if Robbie Johnson, a senior public information officer out of the Boise staff office, could help by leading communications for the incident.
Bringing her unique blend of real-world newsroom experience and wildfire communication skills, Robbie has helped the Moscow PD advance their investigation, provided critical information to the community, and hopefully brought a degree of comfort to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy.
This is just another example of when a community is in need, IDL is there.
