IDL Grant Program Background
The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) administers various grant programs funded by the USDA Forest Service, State & Private Forestry Branch. Historically, the IDL has pushed an annual release of three grant programs simultaneously; Hazard Fuels Reduction, Western States Fire Managers, and Landscape Scale Reduction. In an effort to better align with recent changes to the USDA Forest Service grant cycles and associated deadlines, the IDL has adjusted their grant program cycles. Hazard Fuels Reduction (HFR) is the first program to be released with WSFM and LSR to follow at a later date after the first of the year.
