CRAIGMONT WILKINS GULCH FIRE

Size: Estimated at 490 acres

Reported: 2:18 p.m. PT, 09/27/2022

Location: Approximately nine miles outside Grangeville in Wilkins Gulch

Current Containment: 35%

Resources on Fire:

Total personnel = 45

Engines = 4

Bulldozers = 1

Crews = 2 Modules

Today’s Plans: Mopping up and patrolling the fireline.

Weather and Fire Behavior: Fire activity smoldering and creeping. Temperatures in the mid-80’s; estimated RH 20%.

Restrictions or Road/Trail Closures: None

Remarks or Special Concerns: A few structures at risk but no evacuations anticipated. Rain is expected over the fire area tonight or tomorrow.
