Hunt Expo: Keep the Hunting Tradition Alive

 Dear Clearwater Hunter,

You and your family are invited to the 2nd Annual Hunt Expo being held in Lewiston August 26 and 27.  The event was so much fun last year, Idaho Fish and Game's Clearwater Region decided to offer it again.

Friday, August 26 introduces new hunters to shotguns and mentors participants as they shoot various rifle calibers. 

Saturday, August 27 offers hunting workshops for all ages:

•    Hunting for different game in the Clearwater Region

•    Choosing your weapon - rifle, shotguns, muzzleloaders, or  bows

•    How to field dress, prepare and cook wild game.

•    How to prepare for a backcountry hunt

•    and wildlife activities for youngsters.

Friday August 26

Range staff at the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club Shooting Range will mentor participants as they shoot shotguns and try various rifle calibers.

Between 2pm-7pm stop by the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club Shooting Range at the 27007 Tom Beale Road near Lapwai.

8am-4pm at the Idaho Fish and Game regional office at 3316 16th street in Lewiston.

    Saturday includes LIVE demonstrations on how to field dress your harvested game, how to process the meat and cook a wild game meal.
