Unemployment Insurance Next Steps |
|
We received your unemployment insurance (UI) application.
Important next steps:
-
- Use the Claimant Portal to file for your non-paid waiting week and continue to file each week you want benefits, even if your claim is pending. Your weekly certification is how you get payment for the week.
-
- Not reporting earnings (when you work) can stop your payments and could be considered fraud.
-
Create a Job Seeker account at IdahoWorks.gov.
- You must do this to be eligible for benefits. This account helps you find work.
-
Report five (5) work search actions on your weekly certification.
- If your status is Work Seeking, report your work search actions weekly. Actions can include hiring events or workshops.
-
Pay attention to any messages.
- Answer your phone, check your email and make sure your mailing address is correct. We will contact you with questions. Your benefits may be delayed if you don’t respond.

|
Make your life easier:
-
Consider enrolling in direct deposit. You can get your first payment 3-5 business days faster than with a bank card.
-
Meet with a workforce consultant or unemployment insurance
navigator. Make an appointment for help with your job search or collecting unemployment. Visit the Idaho Labor local or mobile office directory for dates, times and locations.
