Idaho's March unemployment rate remains at 2.6%
Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.6% in March, unchanged from February’s rate.
March’s labor force – workers who are employed or unemployed but looking for work – increased by 1,905 people (0.2%) to 960,017.
Idaho’s labor force participation was unchanged between February and March, remaining at 62.6%.

The mining of rare-earth and critical mineral deposits within the state’s economy is part of an ongoing research series by the Idaho Department of Labor on how Idaho is affected by the geo-economic and geo-political interrelationships.
High atop Idaho’s picturesque Salmon-Challis national forest sits the Cobalt Belt of Idaho, an important mining district for some of the world’s critical minerals and rare- earth elements. This special grouping of locally mined esoteric minerals has noteworthy economic, geologic, political, technical and environmental dimensions of availability [1].

Idaho’s Labor Market Information website (www.lmi.idaho.gov) has enjoyed a refresh that coincided with migration of its data to a new platform — WordPress.
Idaho Labor Market Information includes analysis and data on wages, jobs and the economy. The data is used by businesses, job seekers, public officials, educators and students to make career and education plans, and strategic business and policy decisions.
