Munger Road Bridges
As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Maintenance Program, ACHD will replace the culverts on Munger Road, south of New Hope Road, starting January 5th.* Construction is expected to be complete in summer 2026.
Project Highlights
- Removing and replacing the existing bridges on Munger Road
- Reconstructing the roadway
- Filling in the sidewalk gap on the east side of Munger Road, between W. Shortcreek Street and N. Catamaran Way, including new curb, gutter, and pedestrian ramps
- Improving stormwater facilities to enhance drainage
Construction Impacts
- Munger Road will be closed during construction
- Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
- Lane restrictions with flaggers
- Neighborhood traffic calming will be in place to discourage cut-through traffic on residential streets
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
- The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
Construction Update
- Notice to Proceed is anticipated for January 5th.
- Road will be closed during bridge replacement.
- Speed bumps installed in the adjacent neighborhoods.
