State Street Closure in Eagle Begins Monday
EAGLE — Beginning Monday, State Street (Old State) will be closed between Olde Park Place and Eagle Road.
Commuters should use Eagle Road and Aikens Road to get around the closure.
This closure is expected to be in place until the end of May. Business and residential access will be maintained during the closure.
Aikens Street remains closed between Eagle Road and east of 1st Street, where the street currently ends. To help accommodate local access, 1st Street is temporarily a two-way street from Aikens Street up to the alley. The alley is temporarily a one-way alley for eastbound traffic only. (See detour map)
The work is part of ACHD's Downtown Eagle Mobility Improvements, which is expected to wrap up this fall. Residents can learn more and sign up for project updates on ACHD's website.
