Floating Feather Bridge & Sidewalk Project Update
Road Closure - December 2nd
As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Maintenance Program, ACHD will replace the culvert on Floating Feather Road, east of Munger Road.
During construction Star Sewer and Water District will update the existing water line and hydrant.
Project Overview
- Remove and replace the existing bridge over the Middleton Canal.
- Add multi-use pathways and sidewalk on both sides of Floating Feather Road to fill existing pedestrian gaps and improve connectivity.
- Upgrade stormwater facilities to improve drainage.
- Reconstruct the roadway.
Construction Impacts
- Floating Feather Road will be closed during construction
- Lane restrictions with flaggers
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
- The contractor will work with homeowners to minimize construction impacts
