Celebration for "Name a Plow" Winners

ADA COUNTY — Members of the media and the public are invited to celebrate the winners of ACHD's inaugural "Name a Plow" contest.

Winners will be recognized at Wednesday's ACHD Commission meeting. The meeting will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, February 14 in the auditorium at ACHD Headquarters in Garden City.

Winners will be recognized by the Commission and presented with their awards in the auditorium. From there, winners will be invited across the street to the Adams Maintenance Yard, where they can see the plows adorned with the winning names.

The winning names have already been put to the test this year. Members of the public may have seen them around Ada County during the recent snow storms. Winning names include “Snotato,” submitted by Trevin Meredith of Eagle, “CTRL+SALT+DELETE,” submitted by Christina Straub of Meridian, and “Ashton Jeanty,” submitted by Mike Walsh, Associate Athletic Director at Boise State.

The fourth plow, "The Big Leplowski," was submitted by ACHD Zone Inspector Josh Crill, and voted on by ACHD employees.
