TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Power Outage and Grass Fire Cause Dark Intersections and Significant Delays in Downtown Boise

BOISE — Commuters should avoid the Boise downtown area near 13th Street, as utility and emergency crews respond to downed power lines and a grass fire.

Downtown Boise is currently experiencing a power outage, with downed power lines in the area of 13th Street. Several intersections are in dark mode and should be treated as a four-way stop. 

The outages and grass fire are causing significant delays and road closures. Commuters should find an alternative route. 

While Boise's police and fire departments, Idaho Power, and ACHD are working together to respond to and repair the issue as quickly as possible, it may be two or more hours until the area is back to normal operations.
