Intersection of Five Mile and Overland Roads closed starting August 17th

BOISE — On Thursday, the intersection of Five Mile and Overland Roads will be closed during the day.

Veolia crews have been working at the intersection only during the nights. However, crews recently hit an unmarked ACHD storm drain, which will require repair work during the day in addition to nighttime work.

We understand this poses an inconvenience to commuters as the new school year begins. Both ACHD and Veolia are committed to ensuring repairs are done as quickly as safely possible and will work to limit this disturbance. The closure will not begin until after Thursday’s morning school drop off is complete and is planned to reopen prior to drop off on Friday.

Once the repair is complete, Veolia will continue with night work at the intersection. Veolia’s overnight work is expected to wrap up at the end of the month. All work is weather dependent.
