Following the investigation into the March 8 shot fired incident in the 200 Block of South Clinton Street, a juvenile has been arrested on charges of riot, reckless use of a firearm causing property damage, minor in possession of a dangerous weapon, and person ineligible to carry a dangerous weapon.
Additional arrests are anticipated.
The Iowa City Police Department has been assisted in this investigation by the University of Iowa Police Department and Burlington Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. No further information is available.

At 3 a.m., Sunday, March 8, 2026, Iowa City Police responded to the 200 Block of South Clinton Street for a report of a shot fired. The ensuing investigation recovered evidence of gunfire.
