Kathy and other volunteers from our local K9 Ambassador program—sponsored by the Iowa City Dog Obedience Club—will use handpicked dogs to help teach kids about dog safety. The program includes fun tricks and obedience skill demonstrations.
Children will get the chance to pet the dogs and apply what they’ve learned!

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, join us to honor the empowerment and courage of the beloved Mulan! This family-friendly singalong party will feature award-winning singer Emma Lai from West High School as Mulan. Sing along to your favorite songs from the movie and create your own Mulan paper doll during a fun craft session while iconic movie clips play on the big screen.
Stop by every Monday and Tuesday for special Kids Club activities designed for kindergarten through 6th grade. Explore, create, and learn something new!

Color our world this summer by joining the Summer Reading Program! Available to readers of all ages and abilities, from babies through adults. Sign up online or pick up a gamecard at the Library or on the Bookmobile to track your reading goals. Finish your reading and earn a prize!
