March 16: Sunday Fun Day: Popsicle Stick Airplanes We’re honoring Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. Known for breaking barriers and opening doors for women in aviation, she remains an inspiring figure. Let’s celebrate her legacy by creating fun popsicle stick airplanes!
March 23: Sunday Fun Day: Q-Tip Dinosaur Bones Honoring Mary Anning, a trailblazing paleontologist and fossil collector who made the groundbreaking discovery of the first scientifically described plesiosaur. At a time when women were excluded from the scientific community, her fearless contributions forever changed our understanding of the natural world. Today, let’s celebrate her legacy by creating our own dinosaur bones using Q-tips!
March 30: Sunday Fun Day: Marie Curie X-Ray Vision Hands In recognition of one of the world's most famous scientists, Marie Curie, who is notably associated with X-rays for her groundbreaking contributions during World War I, including the development of mobile X-ray units. Our activity will be a fun blend of craft and STEM! We’ll create X-ray hands and use oil to make the bones appear translucent when placed on a sunny window—see-through X-ray vision in action!
