Teddy Bears galore! The Downtown Teddy Bear Room at the Hilton Garden Inn is filled with hundreds of teddy bears, big and small. Join ICPL children's librarians for a fun family Storytime among the teddies! | The Teddy Bear Room is open daily, 10 a.m.–8 p.m., through Dec. 31. Check in at the desk for directions.

Celebrate the Winter Solstice with us as we read Winter Solstice Wish by Kate Allen Fox. Learn about solstice traditions and create mini-yule log cakes and citrus pomanders to take home. Books to Cooks Club meets the second Tuesday of each month, featuring a story and a delicious snack-making activity.
Tuesday, Dec. 17, 4–5 p.m. Storytime Room
Experience holiday traditions from around the world! Discover how children in France, Iceland, and other countries celebrate St. Nickolas by leaving polished shoes out for treats. Create and decorate colorful paper shoes, then fill them with goodies to take home. World Club meets the third Tuesday of each month with stories, games, crafts, and snacks celebrating a different culture.

Dash, the mascot of the Iowa Heartlanders, will join us for Family Storytime to launch the Winter Reading Program! Take pictures with Dash, register for the program, and stock up on books for Winter Break. Readers ages 3 and up can participate to win a hot cocoa mug and other prizes.
The all ages Winter Reading Program is back, so get ready to “Pounce” on some good books! The WPR is for readers age 3 and up, kids through adults. Register yourself and your family - log your reading online, pick up a gamecard from the Library, or print your own. Finish the program to receive a hot cocoa mug plus other fun prizes!

Enjoy a gingerbread-themed Storytime, followed by gingerbread decorating, crafts, and winter stories on the big screen. Supplies will be provided for all ages.
Learn the basics of LEGO robotics in this hands-on workshop. Design and build attachments for a robot sumo challenge. Best suited for grades 2 and up. Registration is required.
