At 6:11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, Iowa City Police responded to a report of a suspicious package in the Capitol Street Parking Ramp, 220 S. Capitol St. The University of Iowa Department of Campus Safety and members of the Johnson County Metro Bomb Squad also responded to the scene.
At 7:02 a.m., police determined the package was not a threat. The incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
