Enjoy a sing-a-long with the Iowa Children’s Museum, Storytime with your favorite librarians from Coralville Public Library, Iowa City Public Library, and North Liberty Library, shadow puppets with Eulenspiegel Puppets, plus all day Lego and BRIO train fun with Dan Daly (at MERGE 136 S Dubuque St.).
During February, be sure to pick up a special treat when you visit the Bookmobile. Our Take and Make Bags provide activities to support reading, discovery, and fun for the whole family. Supplies are limited; we kindly ask that visitors take just one kit per family. The Bookmobile makes 31 stops throughout Iowa City from Monday to Friday, ensuring accessibility for everyone. Sam serves as the Community and Access Services Coordinator at the Iowa City Public Library. In this role, they oversee and provide support to the teams responsible for circulation, outreach, the bookmobile service, public relations, and marketing initiatives aimed at serving the community.
Previously, they held the position of President of the Iowa Library Association in 2023 and they are currently a candidate for the presidency of the American Library Association. Their campaign is centered around the slogan "#OurStoriesAreWorthSharing," reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and the importance of shared narratives.

The Iowa City Public Library has a new Bookmobile stop at the South District Market, allowing our staff to bring the Library experience directly into your neighborhood. Every Friday, from 1:30 to 2 p.m., the Bookmobile will be stationed and ready to serve the community at the South District Market, located at 947 Highway US-6.
Patrons have the opportunity to get a Library card, collect their holds, browse a selection of materials, including books, DVDs, and audiobooks, or use digital services. The Bookmobile provides WIFI connectivity and assistance in accessing Digital Library resources like Libby, hoopla, and Creative Bug.
