Our special guest from The Bur Oak Land Trust will come to the Library to teach us about camping! It may be too cold during the winter to camp outside, but environmental educator Amanda Stallman will help us set up a tent inside, teach us about important tools to camp, and read fun, cozy stories about enjoying the great outdoors!

For our January meeting, we'll discuss “Yummy: A History of Desserts” by Victoria Grace Elliott. Cake is delicious, and comics are awesome: this exciting nonfiction graphic novel for kids combines both! Explore the history of desserts through a fun adventure with facts, legends, and recipes for readers to try at home.
After we discuss the book, we'll make a DIY layer cake squishy toy with sponges, glue, and paint. All are welcome, but it's best if you read the book first. Find copies for checkout our catalog.
