Arrest made in February 26, 2023, shot fired investigation
As a result of the investigation into the shot fired on Feb. 26, 2023, at 118 S. Clinton St., Kemonte D. Brown, 27, of Iowa City faces the following charges:
Brown was arrested Wednesday in Boulder, Colo., by the U.S. Marshals Office. He will be extradited to Johnson County to face charges.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

At 12:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, Iowa City police received a report of a shot fired at 118 S. Clinton St. Nearby officers were on the scene within seconds and collected a shell casing at the scene.
At this time, no injuries have been reported related to this incident. Iowa City Police are continuing to actively investigate this incident.
