Remember, even when the Bookmobile and Library are closed, online services are available 24/7 at icpl.org/digital. This service includes account access and, for those who live in our service area, access to ICPL's Digital Library, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and The New York Times. Also, Kanopy and Hoopla video streaming.
This year’s winter reading program, “Reading Makes Me Hoppy” runs December 18, 2022 - February 18, 2023 and is available to readers age 3 and up, kids through adults.
Register yourself and your family - log your reading online, pick up a gamecard from the Library, or print your own. Finish the program to receive a hot cocoa mug. Visit icpl.org/wrp for more information!
Dawn Bouslog, owner of Dawn’s Pleasant Valley Greenhouses in South English, will share What’s New in the Garden. Using her knowledge and skills operating a popular greenhouse for decades, Dawn will guide new and experienced gardeners to find the appropriate plant selections for spring, summer, and fall.
This event will take place in person at the Iowa City Public Library, and will be streamed live on the Library Channel.
Join us for a celebration of your favorite furry, feline friend: the common housecat. Play cat breed bingo (with prizes), watch Internet cat videos (and vote for your favorite), and meet adoptable cats from Last Hope Animal Rescue.
People will be admitted in groups of 10 to the cat area to interact with the cats. Depending on the number of people in attendance, you may have to wait for your turn. Luckily, you can craft and snack while you wait and everyone will get a chance to meet the cats.
Anyone interested in using the Cricut to create paper cut-outs, vinyl stickers, iron-on designs, or other creations is invited to this introductory session, which will cover:

The thousands of pre-made images, projects, and fonts available to you in Cricut Access
How to save a file in Illustrator or another program to be cut on the Cricut
