Iowa City and University of Iowa police departments host winter clothing drive

The Iowa City and University of Iowa police departments are teaming up to host a winter clothing drive. The departments are collecting the following items in sizes ranging from newborn to adult:

• Coats
• Gloves
• Hats
• Scarves
• Socks
• Snow pants
• Snow boots

All items should be new or gently used. Donations will be accepted daily until Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at the following locations:

• Iowa City Police Department, 410 E. Washington St.
• University of Iowa Police Department, 200 S. Capitol St., Suite 808 (Lower level of Old Capitol Town Center)
• Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn St.
• Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert St.
• Mercer Park Aquatic Center, 2701 Bradford Drive

Community members in need of winter apparel can choose from donations from 2-8 p.m., Dec. 7, 2022 at Kirkwood Community College, 1816 Lower Muscatine Road. Supplies will be limited.
