At 8:34 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022, Iowa City Police responded to reports of multiple shots fired on Shamrock Place. Responding officers found evidence of shots fired from multiple weapons.
One adult man was hit by gunfire and taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting is under investigation and no additional information is available at this time. The Iowa City Police Department does not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety related to this incident.
