Each Saturday in July, the ICPL Bookmobile will be open for browsing, check out, and a fun activity from 8 to 11 a.m. during the Iowa City Farmers Market.
Library staff look forward to helping you pick up your holds, get a free bus pass to return home when you show your ICPL card, and chat about new books and materials with you!
Connect with friends, family, and neighbors this summer at Party in the Park.
These events occur weekly, on Thursdays, from 6:30-8 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy live music, games, the ICPL Bookmobile, arts and crafts, and treats.

Join us on Friday, July 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Wilson's Orchard for Storytime, part of a special summer series! All ages are welcome! Please bring a blanket or chairs or use the picnic tables available.
The ICPL Bookmobile will also be on site at Wilson's from 1:15-2:15 p.m. You can check out materials, register for a library card, sign up for the Summer Reading Program or collect prizes and pick up holds.
We will meet in front of the farm store for Storytime, and then feel free to explore the many offerings of the Orchard! Wilson's is located at 4823 Dingleberry Rd NE. In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel Storytime, but the Bookmobile will still be onsite.
Each time you hop on the ICPL Bookmobile, you will find new items to check out! A few new items that Bookmobile staff would like to recommend to you include:
It's 1967, and eleven-year-old Ellis Earl Brown has big dreams. He's going to grow up to be a teacher or a lawyer--or maybe both--and live in a big brick house in town. There'll always be enough food in the icebox, and his mama won't have to run herself ragged looking for work as a maid in order to support Ellis Earl and his eight siblings and niece, Vera. So Ellis Earl applies himself at school, soaking up the lessons that Mr. Foster teaches his class--particularly learning about Mr. Thurgood Marshall and Miss Marian Wright by borrowing books from his teacher's bookshelf.
A high-seas adventure set in a Thai-inspired fantasy world. This is the story of a young woman's struggle to unburden herself of the past and chart her own destiny in a world of secrets o they?
New York Times bestselling Mac Barnett and Caldecott Honor award-winning illustrator Shawn Harris turn their massively popular The First Cat in Space Ate Pizza live cartoon into an action-packed and hysterical graphic novel series!
Bree can't wait for her first day at her new middle school, Enith Brigitha, home to the Mighty Manatees--until she's stuck with the only elective that fits her schedule, the dreaded Swim 101.
Pride. Popularity . . . Poetry? Middle school. Ruby and Mia are total opposites: Ruby is a little awkward, not a "joiner," and loves to write poetry. While Mia is type A, popular(ish), and wants to be class prez. They used to be friends. But now they have nothing in common anymore. .
Have you signed up for the “Summer Reading Program”? You still have plenty of time!
