Starting June 1, you can use your library card to check out an “Adventure Pass.” The pass gives two adults and two children free access to several Iowa attractions and museums.
To reserve an Adventure Pass, you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Iowa City, Hills, Lone Tree, University Heights, or rural Johnson County. You will need an unexpired Iowa City Public Library card with no billed items, and have fees less than $10 total. You'll also need a valid photo ID to access the venue.
You can reserve one pass per venue every 365 days.

You won’t want to miss this first-ever and one-of-a-kind fabulous launch party brought to you by the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, The Tuesday Agency, and MidWestOne Bank.

Right before the program, you can personally meet and speak with Runde and Lenz during a very special fundraiser to benefit the Iowa City Public Library! Make your reservation here for this fun gathering. Guests will receive a copy of "The Shore," as well as delicious appetizers and beverages to enjoy while conversing with Runde, Lenz, and other library supporters. Tickets for the fundraiser are $50 per person.

High on the Hog screening Tuesday, June 14, 2022 7 to 8:30 p.m. Zoom event
Abena Sankofa Imhotep, Director of Sankofa Literary and Empowerment Group of Des Moines, will facilitate a virtual screening of "Freedom," episode four of the "High on the Hog" Netflix series.
Wednesday, June 15 7-8:30 p.m. Zoom event
Imhotep will host a discussion of the book which inspired the Netflix series, "High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America," by James Beard Award-winning author Jessica B. Harris.
Both events will take place via Zoom. Participants are encouraged to register in advance.
One registration will sign participants up for both the June 14 and June 15 events.
The Library website (icpl.org) will be undergoing maintenance on June 14 which may affect access to digital resources including Hoopla, Kanopy, Overdrive/Libby.
