The All Ages Winter Reading Program is going on until February 12, so there’s still plenty of time to register and start reading! The Winter Reading Program is for readers age 3 and up, kids through adults.
Sign up for the Winter Reading Program at the Children’s Desk, on the Bookmobile, or online at icpl.org/wrp. Participants can log their reading online, or with the printed game card available at the Library, on the Bookmobile, or on our website.
Those who finish the program by Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, will receive a hot cocoa mug and be entered into a grand prize drawing for an Iowa City Downtown District gift card!

ICPL is celebrating the huge impact Karen Gordon has left on the community with the announcement of her retirement at the end of 2021. For over a decade, Karen has led Friday Storytimes for the youngest patrons at Book Babies. Karen also visited dozens of preschools in the area every month for outreach Storytimes, as well as offering special programming such as yoga for all ages, and an innovative program for new parents called Belly Babies. Karen has been a resource for parents and families in Iowa City for many years. Congratulations to Karen on her retirement and a wonderful career!

Join the staff of Enrichment Therapy & Learning Center for a fun, interactive Storytime. We will be reading a winter classic, "The Mitten", and offering a variety of creative movement and sensory-based activities.
After storytime, stick around for an optional, free, private speech and language screening for children ages 2-4 years old with a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) from Enrichment Therapy & Learning Center! An SLP will spend 10-15 minutes interacting with your child to determine if speech, language, and social skills milestones meet age-level expectations.
