The Iowa City Public Library Bookmobile's fall schedule concluded on Friday Dec. 17. The Bookmobile will go back into service on Monday Jan. 3, 2022. During the Bookmobile’s Winter Service Break, items can be returned at the Downtown Library or to the Library’s remote drop boxes.

The Library’s external book drops will be available at the following locations:

Downtown at 123 S. Linn St.
East side Hy-Vee Food Store at 812 S. 1st Ave.
West side GreenState Credit Union at 825 Mormon Trek Blvd

Holds that arrive at the Library during this seasonal break can be found by inquiring at the Help Desk at the Downtown Library. You will have another week (January 3-7) to pick up your holds from the Bookmobile once it is back in service.

The Winter/Spring 2022 Bookmobile schedule runs from Monday, Jan. 3 to Friday, May 20 at the following locations:

The Winter Reading Program is for readers age 3 and up, kids through adults, and runs from Dec. 12, 2021 through Feb. 12, 2022.

Sign up for the Winter Reading Program at the Children’s Desk, on the Bookmobile, or online at icpl.org/wrp. Participants can log their reading online, or with the printed game card available at the Library, on the Bookmobile, or on our website.

Those who finish the program by Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022 will receive a hot cocoa mug and be entered into a grand prize drawing for an Iowa City Downtown District gift card!
