Iowa City Police investigate shooting in downtown parking ramp
At approximately 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, Iowa City police responded to the Old Capitol Parking Ramp, 220 S. Capitol St., for a report of shots fired.
Responding officers found evidence at the scene indicating multiple shots were fired and the preliminary investigation shows several people may have been involved. An adult male was taken to an area hospital with what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the abdomen.
This remains an open and active investigation. No other information is available at this time.
