The Iowa City Public Library Bookmobile Team is so thankful for each visitor! We thank you all for making us a regular stop during your week and for connecting with us about your favorite books, movies, and more. Together we average five checkouts per mile! It is a joy to spread literacy throughout the community with you. If you have not yet had a chance to visit the Bookmobile, we invite you to do so soon. We have large print materials, adult fiction and nonfiction, children's chapter books, picture books, and easy readers, young adult titles, as well as books on CD and DVDs to explore.
The holiday season is here and with it comes a change in the Library and Bookmobile regular schedule.

The Bookmobile operates rain or shine, but there are some weather events that force the Bookmobile to close. If severe weather is imminent when the Bookmobile is in service, our primary concern is the safety of people visiting the Bookmobile and our staff members.
In the event of a Severe Weather Warning, Bookmobile operations cease and all patrons must exit the vehicle.
Severe weather which may influence Bookmobile services include:
Tornado warning
70+ mile-per-hour winds
Golf ball-sized hail
Severe heat and cold advisories
