Mayor declares Oct. 20 as Public Health Professionals Day

Mayor Bruce Teague declared Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 as Public Health Professionals Day in Iowa City. The Mayor signed the proclamation at the Tuesday, Oct. 19 City Council meeting.

The proclamation comes at a time where public health professionals are more important than ever before due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The City extends its sincere gratitude to the Johnson County Public Health Department - and all other public health professionals in the area - who have worked long hours and helped save countless lives.
