Creating Resilient Neighborhoods*
The ICPL Bookmobile will be at the Creating Resilient Neighborhoods event on Friday, Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Willow Creek Park (1117 Teg Drive) in Iowa City. The event is part of the Iowa City Climate Fest.
At this event, you can learn about how the Bookmobile uses solar power. Also be sure to follow our Bookwalk at the park to read the story of an Ojibwe girl who learns about protecting our shared planet in "We Are Water Protectors."
While you're there, enjoy family-friendly performances by the Cedar County Cobras and the Awful Purdies and check out fun activities and lawn games courtesy of the Parks & Rec "Rec 'N Roll" trailer.
*Please note, the safety of Iowa City residents is a top priority. Attendees at Climate Fest events are encouraged to practice social distancing at in-person events and to wear a mask. Some in-person events may be rescheduled to an online or virtual format as COVID conditions change.
