While the ICPL Bookmobile carries materials for visitors of all ages, some of the most enthusiastic users can be found at weekly stops to local schools. The Bookmobile currently visits eight local schools each week, including Bohumil Shimek, Helen Lemme, Irving Weber, Mark Twain, Grant Wood, Archibald Alexander, and Hills Elementary as well as Faith Academy.
At these stops staff interact with students of all ages as well as parents and caregivers, school staff, and community members. Bookmobile Assistant, Shawna Riggins, notes, “I look forward to visiting each school weekly and connecting with the students and families in the community. We are delighted that the ICPL Bookmobile creates opportunities to increase access to books and education for children in the Iowa City area.”
Students who do not have library cards are able to make new or replacement cards on the Bookmobile, and all ICCSD students are encouraged to try out their new Student AIM cards on the Bookmobile as well.

Pick Up Library Materials on the Bookmobile
We get it: parking downtown can be frustrating. Did you know that you can have materials sent from the downtown library to the bookmobile? Share Your Thoughts About the Library
The Iowa City Public Library wants to hear your opinion on the services it provides to you, how you use them, and how the library can serve you better. An online survey is available here.
The survey is completely voluntary and should only take 5 - 10 minutes of your time. If your primary library is the North Liberty Community Library, you'll find some questions about that as well. If you have any questions or comments about the survey, please contact the survey lead: Matthew Yoder, Master of Social Work Student at the University of Iowa, at the email address matthew-yoder@uiowa.edu
