The last Thursday Party in the Park of the year will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., August 29, 2019 at the newly renovated Creekside Park, located at 1858 7th Avenue Court.
The event will feature live music from The Fritters and entertainment from The Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre. This week's arts and crafts project includes making jewelry, origami, and decorations by using straws! The event will then conclude with a cold treat.
The Party in the Park events will take place on Sundays during the fall, beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at College Green Park, 600 E College St.
Party in the Park is a no-fee event and is open to the public.
Sponsored by the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department and the Neighborhood Outreach Division, Party in the Park gives residents a chance to enjoy their summer evenings outdoors with friends and family while exploring the City’s many beautiful natural spaces.
