Mabel the Table, the Children Room's interactive touch table, is getting an upgrade!
Mabel is scheduled for some hardware and software upgrades between now and the start of summer that will improve the gaming experience. Currently, the hard drive is having issues keeping up with use, so there are days where we have to turn it off for extended periods of time. A new hard drive and additional memory will speed everything up, and new apps will give kids more options to play together.
So if Castle Raid, Don't Fall in the Hole and Fruit Ninja are your thing, get ready for a better gaming experience soon!

A big thank you to Iowa City Transit for Storytime with a Bus Ride on April 1! Our Storytime that day celebrated the 16th birthday of Mo Willems' Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! Yes, the Pigeon may be old enough for a license, but we agreed it was best to let the professionals drive the bus during our tour of downtown Iowa City.
StoryJAM: Songs of Peter Rabbit
Celebrate spring with us with a special StoryJAM April 10 and April 11. We will sing the Songs of Peter Rabbit by Dudley Glass and read the classic Beatrix Potter story. Come by to see and hear Peter Rabbit like never before!
Both programs will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in Meeting Room A.
StoryJAM is a music storytime program for children and their families. Designed to develop singing and music making as an early literacy skill, come prepared to move, shake, and sing as we take "Joy in Action and Music."
