Second arrest made: Two Injured After Early Morning Shooting
10/04/2018 Update: A second arrest has been made related to the early morning shooting incident that occurred near the intersection of Court and Gilbert Streets on September 29, 2018.
Lindsay A. Beyer, 24, Iowa City, was arrested on October 3, 2018, for acting as an accessory to a felony, an aggravated misdemeanor.
The investigation regarding the shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Iowa City Police at 319-356-6800.
As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
10/03/2018 Update: With the assistance of a Crime Stoppers tip, Iowa City Police have made an arrest and filed the following charges related to the incident below.

Original message: On September 29th at 1:55 a.m., the Iowa City
Police Department received a report of shots being fired near the intersection
of East Court and South Gilbert. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was transported to the University of
Iowa Hospitals where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, a second person with a gunshot wound was
discovered approximately one block away from the original location. It appears
that both shootings occurred at the same location listed above. The second male
victim also was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening
injuries.
The investigation into this incident continues and Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for
information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s). Anyone with information
about this crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). All
calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed. Individuals
providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.
