Primary Election-Related Programs from City Channel 4
The primary election is Tuesday. If you haven't yet voted and need some help in becoming an informed voter, we've got you covered. Click the images below to watch now.
We invited all of the candidates for these three races to come to our studio and record a statement (five-minutes or less) to introduce themselves and share their positions on the issues facing our community. Watch each participating candidate's video at www.citychannel4.com/mtc.
Pro tip: Super short on time? Adjust the speed setting on our video player to watch at 1.5 or 2X speed and learn about these candidates in under an hour!
We recorded one candidate forum featuring local environmental advocacy groups, posing questions to candidates for the Johnson County Board of Supervisors. Tune in to see what they had to say about local issues that impact our environment.
Also, we've collected additional candidate forums produced by our friends at the City of Coralville and the City of North Liberty and have made them available on the City Channel 4 website at www.citychannel4.com/mtc.
See forums for Senate District 37 and the Johnson County Board of Supervisors - as well as one for Governor of Iowa, presented by the League of Women Voters of Linn County.
Tune in on Monday, June 4th, from noon till 9 p.m. to watch City Channel 4's Meet the Candidates Marathon. We'll be playing these candidate forums and candidate statements back-to-back, so join us and then head to the polls on Tuesday, confidently, as a well-informed voter!
When do voters have to start showing an ID at the polls? What is a valid form of ID to show at the polls? Watch this video to learn more about Iowa's new voter ID law.
