Register now for Emergency Services Youth Summer Camp
Students grades 6-12 are invited to join Iowa City
firefighters, police and Johnson County Ambulance Servicefor a hands-on, summer fun experience!
The 2018 Emergency Services Youth Summer Camps are free to participants, and expose kids to the work emergency responders do to keep our community safe. Youth will practice fire skills, like ladders and
hoses, emergency response tactics, like CPR and first aid, and interact with police tools,
like the K9 unit and bomb squad. The camp is also designed to help develop leadership, decision-making and self-confidence skills.
Camps for two
age groups are available and
will meet at Fire Station No. 4, 2008 N. Dubuque Road. The Junior High Camp, for students grades 6-8, will meet July 9 and 10, and the Senior High Camp, for
students grades 9-12, will meet July 16 and 17. Both
camps will meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There is no fee to participate and lunch is included, but
registration is required.
Space is limited to the first 50 registrants. Registration forms can be downloaded at
icgov.org/emergencyservicescamps or picked-up at any Iowa
City Fire Station, the Police Station, 410 E. Washington St., or at Johnson
County Ambulance Service,

delivered/mailed to Fire Station No. 1, 410 E. Washington St., Iowa City. The deadline to register for both camps is Friday, June 15.
