Cause of death released after body found in extreme cold

The Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the results of an autopsy completed on 24-year-old Paul Biagas, who's body was found lying in the snow on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. 

The cause of death is being listed as hypothermia due to environmental cold exposure, and the manner of death as an accident. Biagas was also found to be acutely intoxicated at the time of death. 

The Iowa City Police Department has no further information to release.
