Give a gift to shelter pets during ‘Holiday with the Hounds’

Share the joy of the season by supporting the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center during its annual ‘Holiday with the Hounds’ open house and supply drive.

This holiday party will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center, 3910 Napoleon Lane. Each animal will have a stocking hung on its kennel. Consider gifting toys, food and many other necessities that are needed throughout the year.  

Enjoy this fun, festive celebration with snacks, hot cocoa, and most importantly an opportunity to meet and love the animals. Many wonderful pets are currently at the shelter and in need of forever homes.

If you can’t make it to the celebration, consider donating anyway! Collection boxes are available at the Iowa City Animal Center, Leash on Life, SPOT & Company, Thiesen’s Home Farm & Auto and DayDream Comics, through Dec. 31, 2017.
