Mormom Trek Remote Book Return Unavailable
The Iowa City Public Library’s west side remote book
drop, located at the University of
Iowa Community Credit Union office, 825 Mormon Trek Blvd., is temporarily out of commission.
A vehicle
backed into the book drop on January 26, making the return unit
inoperable.
We ordered a replacement and hope to have the new units installed in early March. Please check our website for more information as it becomes available. Until the new units are installed, please
return books to the Library or the east side remote book return at the First
Avenue Hy-Vee.
We apologize for the
inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding. We
also extend our appreciation to the University of Iowa Community Credit Union
and First Avenue Hy-Vee for hosting our remote book returns.

Book Madness is coming to ICPL
The brackets for our fourth annual literary competition, Book Madness @ ICPL, will be available beginning February 21.
Visit the display in the Library's Gallery on the first floor to pick up your bracket. Anyone who turns in a completed bracket before the Library closes on March 5 is eligible to win a Prairie Lights gift certificate.
We’ll award two winners; one in the adult and teen bracket, and one in the children’s bracket.
Voting begins March 6, with the public’s picks deciding which books advance in each round. We will update the brackets every Monday until there’s a winner. Books that advance through the “tournament” will be posted on the Library’s blog and social media accounts.
