We’re looking for a range of skills and familiarities to
test our website. Whether you’ve never used the website, or you use it
regularly, your feedback matters. The best part? You can’t do anything wrong.
How it works: after an initial chat about how you currently
use or don’t use ICPL's website, you’ll be asked to complete specific tasks.
Afterwards, you’ll be asked how you feel it went. You don’t need to do anything
to prepare. The process will take roughly 45-60 minutes. We will have pizza and coffee as a thank you for your time.

Tween science program, ScienTweens, begins today!
Tweens will have the opportunity to discover the secrets
of the environment, climate, evolution, space, and much more during
ScienTweens, our science program for third- through
sixth-grade students.
ICPL partnered with Emily Schoerning and the Iowa City
Science Booster Club for hands-on experiments that encourage tweens to explore
the world around them.
Join us for our first program from 3 to 4 p.m. today in
the Storytime Room. Future ScienTweens programs will meet the third Thursday
of every month.
Change in operating hours for Thanksgiving, InService Day
The Library's operating hours will change during the Thanksgiving holiday.
ICPL will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 23. The Library will be closed Thursday, November 24. The Library will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 25, and close at 6 p.m.
The Library will be closed on Friday, December 9, for Staff Inservice Day. Inservice
Day is an opportunity for all Library staff to attend training designed to
improve services for patrons.
Feed the Monsters!
Staff enjoyed dressing up the book returns as monsters
for Halloween to the delight of patrons. From little ones who wanted to check out something just so they could feed the monsters to adults who burst out laughing, this is one
of the many things we do to create memories for Library users.
