Recreation Center hours change

In order to provide a higher level of customer service to patrons throughout the evening and weekend hours, as well as bring the hours of operation for the City's two recreation facilities into alignment and eliminate confusion for the public, the Iowa City Recreation Division is amending hours of operation at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center and Mercer Park Aquatic Center / Scanlon Gym. The following schedules will be implemented Jan. 2, 2016: 

Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center

Customer service hours

Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Open gym times

Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Special note: Gymnasium hours may occasionally vary from the above times due to programming needs.

Game Room hours

Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Racquetball Court hours

Reservations encouraged, but walk-in reservations are welcome.
Court fee: $4 per hour
Court times:
Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Fitness Room hours

Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 6:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Due to programming needs, gym hours will vary.

Procter & Gamble Room hours

Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Room includes pool tables, foosball table, ping-pong table and carpet ball table. A facility pass is required to use equipment. Facility passes are returned to user when the equipment is returned.

Tot Time hours

Monday - Friday (except during holiday hours), 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
$1.50/child. Punch pass available:12 punches for $10.
