Prairie Awakening - Prairie Awoke Celebration
Kuehn Conservation Area: Sept 9, 3-9pm
PAPAC is coming up this weekend! Its theme will be “All of my Relatives.” We are inviting back relatives who have been a huge part of the family created by the Celebration, including Dallas Chief Eagle, Mike HeCrow, and Bryan Akipa.
Concessions will be available (provided by Little Green Trailer food truck). Bring a lawn chair. No pets, please.
Register for additional details and updates. In case of inclement weather, the event will be relocated to Earlham High School.

On-Call: Monarch Tagging
Location: TBD
Catch and tag monarch butterflies en route to Central Mexico to help with an international monarch migration research project. Date, time, and location will be determined by the monarchs! Register to join notification list.

Forest Park Museum (Perry): Sept 3, 1:30-2:30pm
We will play with some of the unique games in the Forest Park Collection. Bring your favorite to share! Register to be notified of cancellation.

Fall Equinox Sunset Celebration
Hanging Rock (Redfield): Sept 23, 6:30-7:30pm
Join DCCB naturalists at the astronomical clock atop the ridge at Hanging Rock to observe and celebrate the sunset of the Fall Equinox. Participants will be invited to recognize the four directions and share in a song led by the drum. *No registration required.

Pass the Paddle Update
Unfortunately, river levels have been too low to continue "passing the paddle" this year. If we do get some more water back into the rivers, we will try to have a single-day, fall-themed float later this year. We will send notification of such an event to those who registered for Pass the Paddle.
