On September 3, 2026, the United States District Court dissolved its injunction and allowed the Department to enforce 2024 House File 2677, the vapor products directory. Manufacturers may resume submitting Vapor Product Certification applications via GovConnectIowa to include their vapor products in Iowa's vapor products directory. The Department expects to publish the first directory on October 15 on the Department’s website. This timeframe is an estimate and subject to change. The Department will communicate any changes to the anticipated implementation via govDelivery.
Once the vapor products directory takes effect, only those vapor products included in the directory can be sold or offered for sale in Iowa. Selling or offering for sale any vapor product not included in the directory is prohibited and subject to penalty.
