Ramp Condition: Useable
The heavy rains and strong winds finally caught up with the lake. The water is muddy with a water clarity of only about 19 inches; much reduced from last week's 4 feet. Water level is about 16 inches above normal lake level.
-
Black Crappie - Fair: Crappie bite over the weekend was good. Anglers were catching 8- to 12-inch fish in 3 to 5 feet of water. Crappies were coming into 1 to 2 feet of water next to shore in the early evening (4:30 - 7:30 p.m.). That all changed with the current high and muddy water levels.
-
Largemouth Bass - Fair: With the high and muddy water, anglers need to switch to loud and flashy lures until the water clears back up, hopefully in a few days.
