Congratulations to Ken Luu from the Maharishi School in Fairfield. Ken is the recipient of the DNR sponsored Thinking Outside the Box award at the 4H State Science Fair for his innovative project on predicting soil compaction risk.
Ken developed and analyzed a multimodal deep learning system to predict subsurface soil compaction in a variety of situations. As a result, he was able to predict and prevent soil compaction due to a variety of heavy loads.
